Icom ICM802 Single Side Band Radio w/ AT130 Tuner
Winner of the National Marine Electronics Association's (NMEA) 2002 Best of Show award, AND 2002 Best SSB Radio Telephone award!
Icom's all new digital SSB radio with remote control head offers the clearest reception ever. The latest in SSB technology and construction, the IC M802 benefits from Digital Signal Processing (DSP) which virtually eliminates noise and interference. About 4" deep, the remote controller fits in nearly any nav station. The cabinet is designed to self flush-mount, hiding the hole cut for the remote controller. Plus, you can free up valuable NAV station space by hiding the compact main unit in "dead space" that you normally never see. Icom includes a mounting bracket for the remote controller, in case you choose not to flush mount the radio. Big dials, a large dot-matrix LCD, well spaced buttons and a backlit full keypad make Icom's newest SSB a snap to operate, even in rough seas. A separate external speaker (required and included) allows you to place the sound where it's needed most. Able to access over 1300 channels with pin drop clear voice reception using 150 watts of power, multiple scanning modes and 100% duty cycle over wide band RX, Ham band TX (license required) and RX. Plus, you'll have one-touch e-mail access (a SSB first!) and GMDSS emergency service radio with no optional filters required. A front panel headset jack (to keep from waking up the crew) and many more thoughtful features make this SSB with remote control head Icom's most advanced ever. Constructed with a rugged main unit metal chassis, the IC M802 SSB comes with a full 2 year warranty. Includes the AT-130 antenna tuner which matches the transceiver to a long wire antenna.
